About Dr. David Carter

Chiropractor - Angier, NC

David was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. He enjoys being active and being outdoors. In July 2021, David, his wife, Sarrah, and their two boys relocated to Angier, North Carolina after discussing the idea for several years. As the kids wouldn't start preschool or kindergarten until next fall, this was the perfect time to move.

After carefully considering moving or waiting, they decided to move so they could pursue starting a chiropractic practice (and, equally important, get away from the freezing winters in South Dakota).

He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology as well as a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. He practiced chiropractic for 3 years in South Dakota prior to relocating to North Carolina.

For pain treatment, I have advocated conservative measures first. The key to both treating and preventing injuries is moving during recovery. I will show you how movement can help heal or prevent injuries.

Move Chiropractic - Angier Chiropractor FAQs

Why do so many people from Angier, Fuquay, Lillington, and Willow Springs choose Dr. David?

People from across southern Wake and northern Harnett counties choose Dr. David because he takes the time to understand what each patient is going through. Patients appreciate that he combines hands-on chiropractic care with a strong focus on healthy movement, active recovery, and long-term injury prevention. His office is easy to access, parking is simple, and new patients are always welcome. Many patients who tried other clinics in the area say they finally felt heard and understood when they came to Move Chiropractic.

What makes Dr. David different from other chiropractors in the Angier area?

Dr. David’s background in Human Biology and his experience practicing chiropractic in South Dakota give him a unique clinical perspective. Instead of relying on a quick or generic adjustment, he focuses on restoring healthy movement patterns and creating personalized treatment plans. Whether someone is recovering from an injury or dealing with long-term pain, the care plan is individualized from the start. Patients value his calm personality, his desire to educate, and his emphasis on building new habits that support lasting results.

Does Dr. David work with athletes and active adults?

Yes. Dr. David has extensive experience working with athletes of all ages, including runners, lifters, high-school athletes, weekend warriors, and adults who simply want to stay active. His approach is built around movement, strength, flexibility, and joint stability. Many athletes from Angier, Fuquay-Varina, and the surrounding areas choose Move Chiropractic because Dr. David understands how to keep them training while they heal.

Does Dr. David help people who are not athletes?

Absolutely. While he enjoys working with athletes, most of his patients are everyday people dealing with back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, stiffness, or old injuries that keep flaring up. His goal is the same for every patient. Help them feel better faster, restore their movement, and make daily life easier.

What conditions does Dr. David commonly treat?

Some of the most common conditions he sees include back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, sciatica, hip pain, shoulder pain, mid-back tightness, and general stiffness from work or stress. Many patients also visit him for chronic issues that have not improved with medications, rest, or generic home exercises.

Is Move Chiropractic conveniently located for patients from Fuquay, Willow Springs, and Lillington?

Yes. The clinic is located at 149 Logan Ct, Suite A in Angier, which sits in a central location for the surrounding communities. Many patients drive in from Fuquay-Varina, Willow Springs, Lillington, Coats, and Buies Creek because the office is easy to reach and offers a more personalized level of care than they can find elsewhere.

What can I expect when I meet Dr. David for the first time?

Your first visit includes a conversation about your health history, a detailed musculoskeletal examination, and a clear explanation of what is causing your symptoms. Dr. David will outline what treatment will look like and how he plans to help you improve. Most patients also receive treatment during their first visit.

How does Dr. David use movement to help patients recover?

Movement is a central part of his approach because it helps tissues heal faster, reduces stiffness, improves joint stability, and prevents future flare-ups. Instead of telling patients to rest endlessly, he teaches them how to move safely and confidently while they recover. This is one of the reasons active adults and athletes appreciate his care.

Does Dr. David accept new patients?

Yes. Move Chiropractic is accepting new patients and offers convenient scheduling options. People often comment on how easy it is to get started and how quickly they can be seen compared to other clinics in the area.

How do I know if Dr. David is the right chiropractor for me?

If you want a chiropractor who takes time to listen, explains what is causing your symptoms, and builds care plans around your goals, Dr. David is a great fit. Many patients say they knew they were in the right place from the moment they walked in because they finally felt supported rather than rushed.

Do I need a referral to see Dr. David?

No. Chiropractors in North Carolina are direct-access providers. You do not need a referral from a medical doctor to begin care at Move Chiropractic.

How long does it take to start feeling better?

Most patients begin noticing improvement within their first few visits. Recovery time depends on the severity of the issue, how long it has been present, and how consistently the patient follows the recommended plan. Dr. David tracks progress closely and adjusts the plan when needed so patients keep moving forward.

Can Dr. David help with long-term or recurring pain?

Yes. Many of his patients come in after dealing with months or years of pain that never seems to fully resolve. Dr. David’s approach works well for chronic pain because he focuses on the root cause instead of chasing symptoms. Restoring proper movement patterns often leads to long-term improvement.

How do I schedule my first appointment with Dr. David?

You can call or text the office at (984) 355-3587 or use the New Patient button on the website to make your appointment online. Most new patients are able to get in quickly.
